A Jewish Response to Chaplains in Public Schools Educational Event

Thank you for your interest in A Jewish Response to Chaplains in Public Schools on October 17th from 6:00 - 7:00pm CST.

This program was made possible through collaboration with the ADL, Keshet, SOJOURN, The Union for Reform Judaism Religious Action Center (RAC-TX), Jewish Federations from across the state, the National Council of Jewish Women, Faith Commons, JCRC San Antonio, Jewish Family Services, the Women of Reform Judaism, and many others.

Together, we will gather as one Texas Jewish Community to learn about SB 763, the bill passed by the Texas Legislature that allows school districts to hire unlicensed Chaplains in place of guidance counselors in public schools. Learn about the policy, hear about the implications of this bill on the Jewish community and walk away with some tangible next steps.
