Being an Ally for LGBTQ+ Loved Ones

May 19, 2024

8-9 PM ET

Join Tracey Labgold (she/her) from Keshet for a conversation about being an ally and an advocate for those you love and learn why LGBTQ+ inclusion and belonging is a Jewish value. Explore the differences between sex assigned at birth, gender identity, and sexual orientation; practice using pronouns; and share practical ways we can support our LGBTQ+ friends and loved ones.

This program will be captioned, and we will make every effort to meet any request for accommodations. Contact: Learning@urj.org

You will receive the Zoom meeting link in your confirmation email. All registered participants will receive a link to view the recording 24 hours after the event concludes.

Offered in partnership with Keshet, which works for the full equality of all LGBTQ Jews and our families in Jewish life.

  1. Clone this form (https://urj.tfaforms.net/1081).

  2. Grab your new form ID. Head over to the template survey (FA 1081) and Copy Survey. Update the name and External ID to match your new form.

  3. Pull any questions you want out of the question bank and up into the visible section of the form. Do not delete questions from this form! If you don't need a question, return it to the hidden question bank. Make sure it's not required when in the question bank.

    If you want congregation, pull the lookup question up out of the hidden section. Don't touch the Congregation ID question at the bottom. Remember to fix the prefilled lookup:

    SELECT Account_Name_City_State__c, ID FROM Account WHERE (RecordType.DeveloperName = 'URJCongregation' AND Congregation_ID__c != 'C1289')

  4. Make sure that you have an opt-in. For American/general forms, set default to True and hide the question. For Canadian forms, leave default null and display the question. Edit Organization to URJ Camp George or the Reform Jewish Community of Canada.

  5. Head over to the Connectors section and Enable the connector. Edit:
