Teen Israel Organizers Talk... What Are We Talking About?
(Defining the Terms: Occupation, Apartheid, Colonialism, and Genocide) - with Rabbi Josh Weinberg

April 16, 2024 at 8:30 PM ET| 5:30 PM PT

Since the October 7th Massacre and the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas War, the conversation around Israel has grown incredibly charged and divisive. Accusations of genocide have been leveled at Israel in the International Court of Justice and terms like apartheid, colonialism, and occupation appear regularly in the news and on our social media feeds. What do these terms really mean and what are the consequences of their use? Rabbi Josh Weinberg will join us for a much needed, clarifying discussion about the terms being used in the conversation around Israel today.

Rabbi Josh Weinberg serves as the Vice President of the URJ for Israel and Reform Zionism and is the Executive Director of ARZA, the Association of Reform Zionists of America.
