Camp: The Antidote to the Pandemic
with Jordanna Flores, Director of URJ 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy- West

We know our job as parents is to prepare our kids to launch out of our care into fully functioning independent adults, but the pandemic has sent the opposite message to our kids about the safety of the world. How will we course correct to get them back to developing their independence, building their self esteem and learning to navigate the world without us present? Camp has always been parents’ partners in building these skills and now, during this unprecedented time, is a wonderful tool to (re)introduce. If you were previously “not camp people” before the pandemic, this is the time to revisit that assumption.
