Before completing this form, make sure you have reached out to other scholarship sources and have the amounts that you have requested, or are receiving, available to include in this form.

Have your income available for both parents. If you are divorced or separated, please make sure you have the income of the other parent if they support the camper financially.

All information contained in this form is secure and confidential. Federal Income Tax Form 1040 for 2024 is required. Do not submit schedules. Please email the Form 1040 to kpress@urj.org, or mail a copy to Camp Newman at the address below. You may black out the Social Security numbers if you wish.  You may also send form 1040 in an encrypted email. Sending encrypted emails differs by email systems - you should be able to find instructions online or through your email provider's help menus.

Scholarship application and 2024 Federal Tax Documents are due by March 2, 2026. If we do not receive tax documents, your application will be incomplete and your camper will not be eligible for scholarship.

We will contact you via email with the camper(s) award amount during the first week of April, 2026.

Notes:

• Camp Newman will only consider scholarship support for one session per camper.
• If the camper will need to miss part of the session, the scholarship award may be reduced.
• Scholarships rarely cover 100% of camp tuition, so be prepared to pay some portion.  Families are expected to begin making monthly payments while waiting for scholarship decisions.
• Scholarship applications submitted after March 2 will be reviewed on a rolling basis after the first round of scholarships have been awarded in early April. Late scholarship awards will be dependent on the scholarship funds remaining at the time of application.
